In March this year the Secretary of State announced the summer 2020 exams series would be cancelled in order to help fight the spread of COVID 19. Therefore, student GCSE grades will now be teacher assessments. Ofqual have stated there is no requirement to set additional mock exams or home work tasks for schools to determine a grade and no student should be disadvantaged if they are unable to complete any work set after schools were closed. Nevertheless, in order to support our Year 11s with future education choices and preparation for work we have provided a range of optional educational resources online should students wish to access it. Teachers are also available to provide feedback for work students complete at home and email this to school, should they wish to do so. Home learning for some students will be based on an individual basis to reflect the specific progression point and pathway of the individual student. If students or parents wish to discuss home learning with teachers please call the following numbers South Provision 07966270999 or North Provision 07966270977.
